(If you read April 1st’s The Secret I’ve been Scared to Tell You post in your inbox instead of on the website, you missed out on seeing comment # 1 where I unveil the entire scenario as a big fat April Fools joke 🙂 Sorry if you missed that part and thought it was true, lol! With 75 comments and counting, the post led to some very interesting discussions! Epic fun).
Moving on to Weekly Sunday Appreciation Series part Cinco.
Abundance comes from noticing that which we ALREADY have and in appreciating our current blessings, we create the space to allow in more.
I don’t necessarily mean more things, but more yumminess, happiness, fulfillment, peace, fun!
How often do you take things for granted and don’t even notice how good you really have it?
Here’s your chance to transform your week, no matter how good or bad it was, and end it on a positive, vortexilicious high!
I appreciate this week:
1) The amazing responses and heartfelt wishes
From all of you who read the April 1 post and were so happy for me when you thought I had found the love of my life in Australia and was moving!
The comments on the post, facebook, emails etc were so touching and sweet that I almost felt bad for tricking you, but the ensuing discussion on the post blew everyone’s mind!
WOW, just WOW. That was definitely the highlight of my week and I am so grateful for the love and support that surrounds me where ever I go. You guys rock!
2) Delayed payments
Someone owed me a few grand and took 5 months to pay me back in full. For a while I was worried that I wasn’t going to get my money back. And then, this week, it happened.
While I was excited beyond belief and thankful for getting my money, more than that, I appreciate that this even happened in the first place.
Yes, that’s right. I am glad that this (partly) put a spoke in my Argentina plans, led me to move to Calgary, and put me in a holding state with no idea of the next step in my life. Why?
Because the thought of never getting it back gave me endless chances to practice forgiveness, love, trust and faith that it would turn out well. And when it did, I was more proud of the work I’d done on staying present, than getting it back!
This incident taught me that money or no money, I get to choose how I want to feel and I wasn’t going to let someone jerking me around destroy my trust in people. I’d decided that even if I didn’t get it back, my intention was to draw it in via other means.
It all works out in the end. If it doesn’t, it’s not the end 🙂
Note: If there’s a debt situation in your life and it’s frustrating you, try doing some EFT on getting it back, forgiveness etc (it REALLY helped me let go) and remind yourself that money is energy and responds to energy – keep yours strong and trusting, take inspired action and trust that whether through the same way or another, you WILL get your due. If you need a pep talk, email me!
3) Being asked to take on a Board Member role
For a prestigious, kickass professional organisation I won’t name (since it’s not official yet) in the capacity of Communications Co-Chair, Content Management & Social Media!! Stoked to be asked and I’m excited to use my skills and experience to help a pioneer organisation have far greater impact on their community. Yay!
4) 15 inches of gorgeous snow that shone like diamonds in the Sun
Loveee sparkly, shiny diamondy looking plush snow banks! Skipping around the apartment feeling like a White Christmas had just descended, loudly singing “Mrs Robinson” offkey with full enthusiasm, feeling utterly ALIVE!
5) Scripting!
Gosh, there isn’t anything more fun than hopping on a call with friends and spending an entire hour talking AS IF. Ie, talking about our lives as if everything we wanted & desired had come true NOW vs in the future. Huge vibe lifter + puts one in the vortex where All Good Things Are 🙂
6) My mom
I appreciate her awesome sense of humor and silly text messages in the middle of the night all the way from India which make me snort with laughter. Also, when she calls and says quirky things that no one else could ever come up with – lol. Thank God for mommies!
7) Astrology
Yeah, I appreciate astro insights and peeps into a mystical, unexplained and fascinating world of planets, numbers, signs and what have you. There’s so much we don’t know yet, so much to learn and discover, it’s all rather exciting, don’t you think!?
And on that note, thank you for reading and please do share the highlights of YOUR week!
I’d love for you to play this appreciation game with me and list what you’re grateful for in the comments section. Why? Cos this little game has many benefits for you. You’ll:
- Feel good!
- Have a chance to reflect on your week
- Be able to change your perspective about something
- Realise just how many things you have to be grateful for
- Help someone else realise their blessings by listing yours
- Set yourself up with the great habit of looking for the good in each day
- End the week on a positive, happy note no matter how you felt through it
- Eventually be titled God/Goddess of Happiness and Appreciation, the more you play 😉
Happy Sunday!

Hi Tia!
Somehow I knew that you were playing a trick on us…I didn’t fall for it! Honest! 😛
One thing I appreciate this week was the awesome comment reply you gave to us. Oh my. I have NEVER seen any other blogger so enthusiastic and sincerely sweet in replying to us! Thank you so much. It truly made my day! 😀 I sure am coming over more often now that I know you’re fabulously positive all the time. 🙂
Oh and that thing about Debt you mentioned. I suppose it works the same as being hurt by people. After awhile you stop expecting them to say sorry or be a more understanding person just for you. Yet when they DO change or at least start appreciating you more, it knocks your socks off and makes you feel so blessed you didn’t cut ties too soon.
Thanks Tia!
